The Caterpillar IT18F is a 10-ton class integrated toolcarrier built around Cat’s IT linkage. The parallel-lift geometry holds a pallet fork level through the full lift cycle, and the hydraulic quick coupler lets the operator swap buckets, forks and other work tools from the seat. It runs the mechanically injected Cat 3204 diesel, around 95 hp, with no DPF, DEF or emissions electronics. Power reaches the wheels through a powershift transmission. The machine is rated for buckets in the 1.5 to 2 cu yd range. Typical work is yard and pallet handling, truck loading, stockpile work and site cleanup, the kind of work where one machine has to change tools several times in a day.
